CBD oil for pain: Anti-Acne treatment
Acne is one of the most common skin problems in humans, posing a serious source
of irritation for people of all ages. At some point in one's live, a person has
to deal with acne, be it occasionally or on a daily basis. When faced with such
skin problems, one usually turns to toxins and other chemical cocktails for its
treatment. Instead of clearing acne, these synthetic solutions more often either
don't work, or worst, irritate the skin even further .So can CBD oil bring a
solution to this pain?
According to studies, CBD oil for pain and other
purposes is extracted as a powder which comes from the flowers of the cannabis
plant. This powder is then mixed with an oil, for instance olive which enhance
application and effectiveness. Hence the name “CBD oil". Some studies have
also suggested that the cannabidiol compound found in cannabis may be beneficial
for skin conditions like acne. To support this , other numerous studies have
shown that CBD oil has anti-inflammatory benefits when applied to skin. Some
people apply CBD oil topically to the breakouts themselves while some take it
orally for long- term prevention.
A study in 2014 found that CBD oil for
pain prevented human sebocytes i.e, the cell that create sebum from reproducing
too much oil. The study also found that CBD oil triggers anti-inflammatory
reactions in cells and prevents cytokines, known acne-triggers, from activating.
Experts recommend mixing CBD oil with carrier oil such as coconut or olive oil
to apply to the skin. It may also be possible to take CBD oil orally and
experience the same benefits as applying topically. However topicals are the
preferred choice.
CBD oil for pain in acne has progressed a lot but
studies are still ongoing on the basis of human clinical trials to further
supplement their research on its effectiveness. Also regarding products that are
sold in the market , people should check the ingredients to avoid exposure to
harsh or irritating ingredients.
